Georgia Tech is primed for another run as one of the top tier ACC basketball squads. After 3 years of not making the tournament, Paul Hewitt is now on one of the hottest coaching seats in America. He responded by landing one of the best recruiting classes in the nation and in Georgia Tech history. Though it is fairly certain that Derrick Favors, and Gani Lawal will jump to the NBA after the present season. The impacts of Freshman Mfon Udofia, Brian Oliver, and Glen Rice Jr., combined with the development of Iman Shumpert promises potential for the next few years. For those who worry Georgia Tech’s front court will be left with a huge hole at season’s end Tech fans should breathe easier knowing Daniel Miller (redshirt freshmen), and Kammeon Holsey (medical redshirt) will be their to limit the loss. That combined with experienced guard play should bolster Georgia Tech to a couple consecutive NCAA tournament appearances and at least one final four run.
